ECG Technician Program
About the Program:
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is one of the primary diagnostic procedures used to diagnose heart conditions in both adult and pediatric patients. The ECG strip provides accurate details about the patient's condition and helps determine a treatment plan. Most ECGs are performed by healthcare professionals who are properly trained to perform and interpret ECGs. To ensure accuracy and optimal results, ECGs must be performed by professionals adequately trained through a nationally accredited ECG program. This allows them to utilize these skills and analyze the strips to enable faster diagnosis, save time, and provide appropriate treatment.
Program Goals:
The aim of the program is to prepare qualified entry-level ECG technicians with strong knowledge, skills and emotional behavioral learning areas who can meet the ECG needs nationwide.
